Maker Faire Long Island is more than an event — it’s a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and community. Produced by the Long Island Explorium, a children’s STEAM museum, Maker Faire Long Island brings together inventors, artists, engineers, scientists, crafters, and performers for a full day of wonder and discovery.
Now in our 8th year, the Faire is bigger and bolder than ever, taking place at Stony Brook University on Sunday, September 14, 2025. This exciting new venue opens the door to more interactive exhibits, large-scale installations, and a greater variety of hands-on experiences for all ages.

Maker Faire originated in 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a project of the editors of Make: magazine. It has since grown into a significant worldwide network of both flagship and independently-produced events.
