Roberto Groza is currently in 11th grade in The Stony Brook School, NY working together with The Stem Chair of the school on a lot of engineering projects and also he is the Team captain and programmers lead for FTC robotics team 4137 Islandbots . This is his fourth year participating in the FTC. Roberto is passionate about aerospace engineering and computer science and he participated in a research program at MIT, building a cubesat for aerospace engineering for which he received the award for inventiveness and design from Lemelson - MIT . He is also passionate about aircraft engineering and he is flying Cessna at Mid Island Air Service. Roberto is the school engineering team leader and he designed and donated to The Stony Brook School the kinetic sand table, a beautiful piece of art and technology (all about Raspberry Pi and personal crafting) https://www.instructables.com/id/Sand-Table/.
In particular he is a Teaching Assistant and member of School Nova in Stony Brook University for physics and computer science, participates in the Science Olympiad and he loves sailing and travelling all over the world.
