What inspired you to make this project?
We were inspired to make this project and participate in this competition because we are passionate about robotics and about exploring new innovations in technology that allow us to build for the next generation of explorers. The University Rover Challenge's goal is to inspire roboticists, scientists, and engineers to create the machines that will power the next wave of exploration to Mars, and far beyond. We, in the Stony Brook Robotics Team, have been inspired by that mission and are excited about the building of rovers to expand our technical knowledge, delve into new innovative technologies, and learn from those that are pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Along the way, we hope to develop our capabilities and to leave our own mark in the future of exploration and technology.
