Hello! My name is Amanda Fennell, The Art Nanny. I have been an art teacher for 20+ years. I am a NYS certified K-12, Art Teacher and hold a masters in Creative Arts Therapy. I have extensive experience with creating all aspects of art for mixed ages & abilities, including people suffering from a disability. I quit my full time position (3 yrs ago) to raise my son, and started The Art Nanny. What inspired you to make this project?
When I quit my full time Art teacher position to raise my son, it saddened me to not teach everyday. I started The Art Nanny because I am a teacher at heart. The ColorShield was developed when my toddler started to scribble - I developed a way to turn his scribbles into real art. It took off and the adventure started - we are not patent pending and have a 100% success positive response rate. 🙂
